Today we are happy to introduce you to another amazing artist who has really made a mark on the world wide web. Coincidentally, her name is Kristina Webb, which we found to be just perfect. And speaking of names, she certainly has made one for herself. All of which started when she made her Tumblr profile and shared her work with the internet. She got instant recognition and fans that just wanted more. And we can understand why.
First of all, a little about our artist. Kristina is 22 years old and she is originally from New Zealand. On her website, Kristina Webb, she mentions that she had an amazing childhood. She was home schooled by her parents and she even lived on a boat for a few years. What child wouldn’t want that? But for more information about her life please visit her website listed above. The only thing more we are going to mention is that she admits to knowing that she was going to be an artist from the first moment she held a pencil in her hand. And that clearly shows in her work. From a simple Tumblr account she managed to reach currently over 3 million fans, recognition from some huge celebrities, and to do work for firms such as Disney, Google, or Adobe.
But the reason that we are featuring her in today’s article is one that caught ours and the internet’s attention some while ago. I know, I know, we may be late to the party. But we still wanted to share her work with those of you who may not have seen it. And the particular pieces that we are interested in are the 3D illusions that she manages to create. Simply by integrating everyday objects into her work. And not just that. But they go so well together that at some point you stop realizing what is real and what is not.
And this is the part that fascinated us the most. Not just the fact that she combines drawings with real objects. But that she draws so well that you can’t realize what is real and what is drawn on the paper. And below we have selected several examples of her work, featuring different images and objects. You will get to notice how well she blends them and gorgeous are the results.
For more of her work please visit her website Kristina Webb or follow her social profiles.
