If you’re looking for the perfect dessert look no more! These delicious chocolate bowls with chocolate & white cream and a touch of banana and strawberries are the unique, fun to make and taste so amazing! Surprise your family and guest when it comes to dessert and bring out these delicious deserts. You can add also ice cream in, or any other kind of cream you love!
For the chocolate bowls, you will need 7 balloons, 10 ounces dark chocolate mixed with regular chocolate. If you have allergies, try using latex-free balloons.
For filling the bowls: whipped cream and chocolate cream or any other cream, you prefer to fill the bowls.
For garnishment: fresh strawberries, bananas and colorful, little candies.
Blow up the balloons. Make sure that they are round and small looking like little bowls. Line one cookie sheet with baking paper. Boil water in a pot. Reduce to simmer. Place another pot on top of the first pot and add the chocolate.
Stir continuously without letting the steam touch the chocolate. Let the chocolate melt. Remove the pot from heat and keep stirring until the chocolate is smooth.
Create the bottom of the chocolate bowls by dropping 7 and 1/2 teaspoons of melted chocolate on the baking paper. Take a balloon and dip it into the melted chocolate. More melted chocolate means a perfect rim.
Set the chocolate dipped balloon on top of the melted chocolate dripped on the baking paper.
Put the chocolate bowls in the fridge for 40 minutes. After those 40 minutes, take the balloons out of the fridge and let them sit for 5 minutes at room temperature. Use a pair of scissors and with one hand hold the top of the balloon and with the other SLOWLY cut. You can also use a toothpick to poke a little hole into the balloon. Remove the balloons from the chocolate bowls and place back the bowls into the fridge.
Meanwhile, the bowls cool off in the fridge its time to make the whipped cream. Place the whipped cream in a tall bow. IF you have a standing mixer, you can use it. At first, whip on love so everything won’t splatter.
Increase the speed to high and wipe the cream until peaks form. Just make sure you don’t over mix.
Take the chocolate bowls out of the refrigerator. Spoon chocolate cream half way into the bowls.
Now spoon whipped cream on top of the chocolate cream.
Top with fresh strawberries, bananas, and little colorful candies. Serve! Delicious!!!
Just one tip: when it comes to buying the balloons make sure that you buy quality balloons to avoid breaking. We had the “luck” to find some poor quality balloons and my kitchen walls are full of chocolate because the balloons popped.
